General Rules and Regulations

Mission:

 

The National Beef Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for youth to

become spokespersons and future leaders for the beef industry.

Eligibility:

Any youth between the ages of 9 and 20 by January 1st

Division I

 

9-12 years of age by January 1st

Division II

 

13-16 years of age by January 1st

Division III

 

 13-16 years of age by January 1st

 

BEEF AMBASSADOR DIVISION DESCRIPTION:

Division I – (Age 9-12) The Contestant designs (a) standard poster 22” X 28” relating to beef (b) presents a 2-3 minute explanation of poster (c) responds to questions from judges (see attached scorecards).  No dish requiredNo costumes allowed.  No notes or outlines, other than wording on the poster are to be used while giving the presentation.

Division II – (Age 13-16) The Contestant designs (a) standard poster 22” X 28” relating to beef (b) presents a 3-4 minute explanation; (c) responds to questions from judges (see attached scorecards). No dish required.  No costumes allowed. No notes or outlines, other than wording on the poster are to be used while giving the presentation.

Division III – (Age 17-20) The Contestant (a) will present a 5-8 minute oral presentation following current guidelines of the National Beef Ambassador contest (b) responds to questions from judges (see attached scorecards) (c) be interviewed on an individual basis by a separate panel of judges. No PowerPoint presentations will be allowed. No costumes are allowed. No notes or outlines are to be used while giving the presentation.
